How to Keep Guide
Layered Cakes:
-
To keep: Keep in the refrigerator overnight if picking up the day before an event, if picking up day of, please let us know what time you are serving the cake so we can make sure to bring out ~6 hours before event so that it can come up to room temperature in time to cut and serve. Our cakes are meant to be cut and served at room temperature as they are made with real butter and will crumble if cut cold.
-
To cut: use a sharp serrated knife. Cake serving tools might be aesthetically pleasing for pictures, but please use a real, sharp, serrated knife to cut our cakes. This is the only way we know to guarantee they won't be shredded by a dull cut. **Especially important for cakes with shredded coconut, carrots, pineapple, nuts so that the ingredients are cut through, not dragged through.
-
Pro tip: Do not freeze and try to cut.
